Infrastructure
Logan and Gold Coast Faster Rail Service $5.75 Billion
The project aims to expand the number of tracks between Kuraby and Beenleigh, modernise the stations for improved accessibility, enhance facilities, and establish a new travel path connecting to stations.
Coomera Connector (Stage 1) $2.5 Billion
A proposed 45km motorway will connect Logan City with the Gold Coast. The Coomera Connector aims to reduce congestion on the M1, enhance safety, and facilitate increased accessibility to diverse transportation options.
The Landmark $2.5 Billion
A master planned residential and mixed-use precinct located in Mermaid Beach. The project will consist of four towers, including a 5 star hotel, two and three-bedroom apartments and communal amenities.
Pacific Motorway Varsity Lakes to Tugun Upgrade $1.5 Billion
The project will enhance a 10km stretch of the M1 motorway through the extension of lanes in both directions and overall road improvement. The project aims to improve travel time and preserve a corridor for a future rail extension. The upgrade will encompass the incorporation of designated pathways for both cyclists and pedestrians.
New Coomera Hospital $1.3 Billion
A new healthcare facility designed to cater to the growing population of the northern Gold Coast region. The hospital aims to provide access to world-class medicare care, reduce the pressure on the Gold Coast University Hospital, and support the changing needs of the community. The project will create over 3000 construction jobs and provide a significant economic boost to the local community.
Stage 3 Light Rail to Burleigh $1.2 Billion
The project will deliver a 6.7km extension to the existing tram network. The Light Rail is strategically designed to connect communities, businesses, medical facilities, retail centres, entertainment venues, jobs, and sporting facilities.
New Gold Coast Stations $500 Million
As part of the Cross River Rail project, the Gold Coast will gain three new stations as the lines are extended to Pimpama, Hope Island and Merrimac. The new stations will include onsite parking, pedestrian and bike paths and allow integration with the current transport system.
Spit Master Plan $60 million
The plan comprises of enhancing the community space for locals and improving connections to the surrounding marine environment. Developing a continuous pathway to welcome both cyclists and pedestrians. The plan aims to manage congestion and expand opportunities for ferry connections.
