Apply for your director ID before the November 30 deadline

A director identification number (director ID) is a unique 15-digit number issued by Australian Business Registry Services (ABRS) and is mandatory for all directors.

You only need to apply for this once and you will keep the number forever. The fastest way to complete your application is online and it is free to apply. To complete your application, visit the ABRS website. You will need a myGovID, proof of identity, tax file number, residential address, and complete questions. The director ID aims to prevent false or fraudulent director identities and illegal phoenix activity.
