A $2 billion wind project announced for Queensland

One of the world's largest onshore wind projects has been announced for Queensland. The $2 billion wind farm is to be constructed as a part of the MacIntyre Wind Precinct. The development would have the ability to power 1.4 million Queensland homes. ACCIONA Energia is a world-leading developer of renewable energy projects, and the announcement demonstrates that Queensland is attracting international investment due to the ideal location for renewable energy. There are over 50 renewable energy projects that are financially committed, under construction, or operational across Queensland, paving the way to a prosperous future.  The project will promote employment and supply chain opportunities whilst supporting Queensland to achieve 70% renewable energy by 2032.
